This didn't turn out the way I wanted, not one bit.
I was attacked my negative energy which killed my mood. So yeah the coloring/shading sucks nuts and the time is wrong, cuz I was dealing with other stuff at the time. I just wanna sulk punch someone in the face.

Seriously, I need to know the secret to good lineart that I swear to Jesus every other artist and their mom knows but me. How do you get it to not look shaky without using uber thick lines? I need to know, because my lineart sucks ass and yours doesn't and you should teach me your lineart voodoo.

Pffffffffffffffft, I had no idea you could zoom in on ShiPainter. *fails* Also, another thing, how do you do the flats? From the speed of things, it looks as if you just fill it on the same layer as the lines using the paint bucket. Yet, when you go to do shadows and highlights, you manage to go over the flat colors yet stay under the lineart.

Actualys hes like a rat thing. . .
uhm I do fill in the outline layer because it's easier and faster then doing it on a different layer LOL
I use Mask/Remask to avoid coloring on the line art or going out of it. mostly remask tho. theres a button on on the toolbar that says 'normel' you just click it to reverse mask then pick the color you want to color over and right click the reversemask button and the color should show up on the button. then you can color over it without coloring on anything else. It only works with the pencil setting thing tho. I think. this is actualy the frist picture I did using remask, all the other ones I just drew out where the shadwoing was and filled it in

Yay! IG updatage!

I really like the texture you've over- and underlayed the piece with. It gives it a very watercolor feel, which I happen to like. Also, kudos to you for pulling off shading with the watercolor tool. It's probably just me, but I can't use that tool. I don't think I've used it in any of my pieces--it's too hard for me to control. And I'm so hopelessly compulsive when it comes to neatness and control in my coloring that I could never get it to function well for me.

I also like the moon on the hilt--it has an interesting angle and good shading. I don't know why, but I always find strange things to like in certain pieces.

But! But! But! I'm really interested in the content of the piece. Is this from a comic? Story? Videogame? Or is it something completely original? I'm always interested in original works and story concepts and characters. ^0^

Oh dear; I'm blushing XD Ehm... I used the watercolour tool? It would explain a few things... XD I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time. I did spend a lot of time on this... more time than I'm spending on art usually XP. InkScratches; which brushtool do you use? XP
The moon was absolute random XD I dislike going for the obvious and I only drew this angle because I wanted to draw and get to know stuff. Only halfway I figured out a sword could not be held like this and made a background and title that allows me to hide that mistake... oh shoot, I shouldn't have said that XD
As for the scene: it belongs to nothing. Just made up at the spot. It could be connected to one of the characters from my novel and it would actually made some sense too... but then it's an afterwards connection ^_^ It's original anyway... but you just sparked a piece of inspiration within me XD Which sucks, because the character I mentioned before is kinda dead in my stories now XD So I have a cool bonus story I can't use because that character is dead XD

But thanks anyway!! More and more practise will follow!

I only ever use the airbrush and pen tools. Oh, and burn and dodge too. Which doesn't always turn out well, so I try to avoid it for anything other than finishing touches. And sometimes I get carried away with those...

And I wouldn't have even realized he was holding the sword wrong if you hadn't said anything. I don't pretend to profess any knowledge about weapon handling. Pretty sure Aenjo's not holding his spear right in my last picture either. But I did the same thing--cleverly making the spear way too close to the foreground to even fit in the picture, so it's probably not even apparent that it's a spear. Meh heh. So I don't know, I thought your picture looked pretty natural--I didn't question it. XP

And omggggggg I love original stuff! I was hoping you'd say it was original! ^0^ *cannot help curiosity* A whole novel is in the works? Ggggh! I want to know more! You should definitely do more pictures about your novel--that would make my day.

Ner, ^^; You don't have to though, don't listen to me. Sometimes I let my curiosity get the better of me. But now I really want to know who died! D8 Character deaths are the epitome of my curiosity! *is morbid that way* You torment me sooooo... T3T

Anyway, most things I draw nowadays are from/for my novel, Forever Young. I have several series and from the first series the first novel is published and the second will hopefully come this year. I can't tell you who dies, because that book still has to be published XP

I don't know what it is about the colors on this one AD, but it's so...soft... I don't know if it's just that you used less contrast in your shading tones or what, but, even though I love contrast, I luuuuuuuuuuuuuurv the softness of this piece. So Mar died in rp last night. His second death. Which is more than most people have, so I thought it deserved a picture.
